All vegetables and fruits you pull from the soil need to be purchased, as they are part of our ongoing crop cycle. We provide the baskets and scissors for harvesting, but do come prepared with comfortable shoes and clothes you do not mind getting a little dirty. It is all part of the fun! ### Your Day at the Farm We built Farmus because city living in Gurgaon often separates us from the soil. Our family activities are designed to change that. Whether you are here for a quick morning visit or a planned birthday party, you are not just visiting a venue; you are entering a working organic ecosystem. ### What Families Actually Do Here - **Hands-on Harvesting:** This is the highlight. Depending on the season, you might find yourself pulling carrots, picking strawberries, or gathering leafy greens like palak or bok choy. We manage the soil so you get the experience of the khet (field) without any chemicals. - **The Petting Zoo:** Meet our resident animals. We have horses, sheep, goats, and rabbits. It is a fantastic way for children to understand animal care beyond what they see in books. - **Educational Play:** From composting showcases to potting activities, we keep things hands-on. Many families use these trips as a practical lesson in sustainability and food sources. ### Planning Your Visit If you are coming for a weekend morning, we usually operate from 7 AM to 11 AM. It is the best time to catch the farm at its freshest. For birthday parties, we move beyond the standard hall setting to offer open-field picnics and berry-themed celebrations. If you have specific dietary needs for your event or are planning a school trip, reach out early. Because we are a seasonal farm, the availability of produce and specific activities changes week to week, so a quick message before you drive down helps us ensure you have the best experience. ## About Farmus We are a group of nature lovers in Dhumaspur who got tired of seeing kids think vegetables come from plastic packets. We built this farm so our own families, and yours, could have a place to breathe, pick real food, and just hang out in the dirt.
