When you mix our Bindu plates with the Royal Malabar trays, you are not just setting a table, you are telling a story. Each piece is crafted to sit comfortably with your existing crockery while adding that specific pop of festive colour, making the act of serving mithai as intentional as the gathering itself. For me, celebration is not about the grand gesture, but about the small details that make a room feel loved. When we started the Symbols of Celebration series, the goal was to create objects that hold memories long after the last guest has left. ### Designing for the Indian Table Many of us struggle with finding serveware that feels traditional without being dated. My approach is to take symbols like the Bindu, which represents beginnings, and apply them to modern, clean-lined plates. This makes them versatile enough for a Diwali dinner, a Rakhi ceremony, or just a quiet afternoon tea when you want to feel a little special. ### Practical Tablescaping Tips * **Layering with Purpose:** Do not be afraid to mix collections. Start with a neutral tablecloth or runner and layer our Royal Malabar trays to add an immediate visual focal point. * **The Power of Odds:** When setting up a spread, group your vases, votives, and plates in odd numbers. It creates a natural flow that feels less rigid and more welcoming to guests. * **Playing with Texture:** Mix the smooth finish of our ceramic plates with natural elements like fresh mogra or jasmine. The contrast between the cool enamel and the soft petals brings a sensory depth to your table. ### Visit Us in Mumbai All these collections are available to view at our studio in Kala Ghoda. I invite you to stop by, see how the light catches the metallic edges of our platters, and hold them in your hands. Seeing them in person is often the best way to understand how they can transform your specific space, whether you are styling a grand dining setup or a small entryway console for the holidays. ## About Faaya I am Falguni. At Faaya, I believe that what we hold our memories in matters just as much as the memories themselves. I create these pieces to help you turn every simple celebration into a story worth keeping.
