## About Stage & Studio Performances

You will see how our classroom techniques, specifically *layakari* (rhythmic play) and *abhinaya* (expression), translate into the performance pieces featured here. These are not just memorized sequences; they are the result of the rigorous *riyaz* (practice) we prioritize in our studio, proving that the real work happens long before the stage lights go up.

Every performance on this page—whether a spontaneous Tarana in the studio or a polished production at our annual 'Nritya-Chanda' showcase—is rooted in the Jaipur Gharana tradition. My goal in sharing these clips is to demystify the performance process for my students. When you see a group moving in perfect synchronization, you are seeing the result of months of repetitive drills, focus on *taal* (rhythm), and dedication to form correction.

### The Art of Performance
- **Technical Precision:** Notice the focus on *tatkaar* (footwork) and speed progressions. We do not just perform; we recite *bols* (syllables) and execute intricate rhythmic patterns that are the hallmark of our lineage.
