## About Commercial & Workplace Architecture

Shaping workplaces that work for India and the planet is what drives us at Edifice Consultants. Since '89, we've learned that listening—really listening—to people and place is where the best designs start.

### What Matters to Us

- We design commercial spaces that aren't just efficient, but give people a sense of belonging.
- Sustainability is not a bonus; it's how we begin. Think natural light, airflow, and *jaali* (traditional screens) for cooling, not just ACs.
- We’re big on biophilic modern workspace ideas—nature has a seat at the table, always. Trees, green courtyards, and shaded spots are part of our DNA.
- Our picks for materials? Always local, sturdy, and easy on the environment.

### How We Design

- No cookie-cutter plans. Every project is a response to its location—hot, dry, humid, crowded, you name it.
- We get a little excited about adaptive reuse of commercial spaces. Old factories? We’ve turned them into bright, collaborative offices.
- Climate-responsive workplace architecture means buildings that are comfy and efficient, not energy guzzlers.

### Projects We Take On

- From sprawling IT campuses to compact vertical offices in city centers
- High-performance interiors and mixed-use hubs (think office + retail + hospitality)
- Admin blocks for industries

### Our Work Speaks

- Mahindra’s Chakan HQ: inspired by classic *wada* (courtyard) homes, with radiant cooling that just works.
- JSW Group: offices that blend landscape and climate smarts, and have actually won awards.

We love what we do and the people we work with. If you want a workplace that's smart, green, and truly Indian, you’ll probably vibe with us.

## Meet your expert

[Edifice Consultants](https://mytribe.in/edifice_consultants)

### My story

Started out in '89, and honestly, we’re more than just architects now – we’re Edificians. Our studio’s got its own vibe: there’s mentorship, loads of long chats, and yes, some marathon workdays. But we break it up with sports, festivals, and good food – Onam sadhya, Ganesh Chaturthi aarti, you name it. For us, work isn’t just about buildings, it’s about building our own tribe.

### My work

- **All-Round Design Services**: We do Workplace, Healthcare, Residential, Hospitality, Retail, Cultural, and Urban projects. Pretty much everything.
- **Design That Listens**: Every site’s got its own story. Like brick Jaali self-shading in Rajasthan, or keeping Vizag’s trees and slopes.
- **Rooted in Sustainability**: Net-positive energy buildings aren’t just a buzzword for us. We use our own Design Sustainability Matrix to measure real impact.
- **Future-Ready Spaces**: Universal grid planning lets us expand campuses in phases, so nothing gets stuck or disrupted.
- **Human-Centric Communities**: Built a housing project with an elevated pedestrian park – it’s all about spaces for people to pause, meet, connect.
