## About How It Works: Our Process & Tips

The secret to a lush balcony garden isn't just seeds, it is the soil depth and drainage. We start by building custom raised beds, often using treated pine wood, that protect your flooring while giving roots the loose, airy medium they need to flourish without getting waterlogged.

Building a productive garden in the city requires planning for specific constraints like sunlight, wind, and structural load. We do not believe in kitabi gyan (bookish knowledge) and instead focus on what actually grows in our climate. 

### Our Step-by-Step Approach

1. **Space & Sunlight Analysis**: Every garden starts with a conversation. We look at which direction your balcony faces—North or South makes a massive difference in what you can grow. We track where the sun hits so we can place your planters where they will actually thrive.

2. **Infrastructure That Lasts**: We use treated pine wood crates or brick masonry for raised beds. These aren't just for looks; they provide enough depth for root vegetables like carrots and arbi to grow properly. For railings, we use vertical planters to maximize space without cluttering your walking area.

3. **The 'Mitti' Mix**: This is the most important part. We don't just use soil; we create a custom lightweight growing medium using coco-peat, compost, and microbial cultures. This ensures your planters aren't too heavy for your balcony while remaining rich in nutrients.

4. **Watering Logic**: We install automated drip irrigation systems with battery-operated timers. This takes the guesswork out of watering, ensuring your plants get consistent moisture even during the harsh Delhi ki garmi (Delhi's heat).

5. **Succession Planting**: A garden should provide food all year. Once one crop is harvested, we rotate the next one. We teach you how to prune and when to sow so you always have fresh bhindi, palak, or tomatoes ready for your kitchen.
