## About Sustainable Public Infrastructure & Furniture

Making plastic waste disappear from public spaces is what drives us. Bahut log sochte hain ki ek bench ya bookshelf kya farq laayega? (A lot of people wonder, what difference can a bench or bookshelf make?) But when that bench is made from thousands of used bottle caps, and that bookshelf saves 5 kg of plastic from landfills, the impact adds up.

### How We Turn Waste into Something Useful

- We collect used plastic from homes and ragpickers in Delhi-NCR, supporting the local community and creating a circular economy infrastructure.
- All that plastic is cleaned, processed, and turned into tough, 100% recycled sheets. No two pieces look the same - each has its own confetti pattern.
- Our benches are tested at high altitudes (like 8,000 feet in Shimla) and built to handle crazy weather, dust, and crowds.

### Not Just Benches

- We design everything from eco-friendly benches for parks and campuses to artistic installations that spark conversations.
- We even made public changing rooms for women at the Maha Kumbh, using only recycled packaging.
- Custom branding available for CSR projects, schools, and city bodies.

### Why It Matters

- A single bench keeps up to 45 kg of plastic out of landfills.
- Our bigger benches can divert 100 kg of waste per piece.
- With more than 500 installations across India, we’re showing it’s possible to build zero waste public spaces.

Abhi toh journey shuru hui hai (This journey has just begun). If you want public spaces that look good and do good, you’ll find us here, ready to try something different.

## Meet your expert

[Econscious](https://mytribe.in/econscious.india)

### My story

Hey, we’re Sonal and Vaibhav - Econscious is both our dream and our daily grind. It all kicked off on a trek, staring at mountains and piles of plastic. शुरुआत हुई थी (it started) with tiny decor pieces. फिर सोचा, अगर इंपैक्ट बड़ा बनाना है तो सोच भी बड़ी करनी होगी (if you want big impact, gotta think big). We took a leap, made benches from trash, kept hustling. No overnight fame, just small wins - like our bench reaching the President! But the real joy? Jobs created, people empowered.

### My work

- **Eco-Friendly Products from Plastic Waste**: We make recycled plastic benches, upcycled home decor, and sustainable corporate gifts from 100% post-consumer plastic.
- **From Trash to Treasure**: We collect plastic waste, shred and process it, then craft boards and products. Each piece is unique, sometimes imperfect.
- **Why Choose Recycled?**: Buying from us means using 88% less energy and saving plastic from landfills and oceans. Small choice, big difference.
- **Our Impact**: We’ve recycled 3,50,000 kgs of plastic waste so far. Waste isn’t waste till we waste it - we close the loop, one product at a time.

## More services from Econscious
