We spend the first part of the session getting comfortable with the clay's texture, pressing, rolling, and feeling how it moves, before we even touch the wheel. If you are coming for a one-day workshop, we keep the pace relaxed, as my goal is for you to walk out with a piece you are proud of rather than a perfect replica of a magazine photo. Pottery is tactile, messy, and fundamentally grounding. At my Pitampura studio, I teach both wheel throwing and hand-building techniques. Wheel throwing is often the draw for newcomers, and centering that spinning mound of clay takes focus and patience. It is a rhythmic, meditative process that forces you to disconnect from your phone and connect with the material. If you prefer a slower, more deliberate approach, hand-building using coil, slab, or pinch methods allows for more creative freedom, especially when we start surface decoration. We use underglaze painting to add color and personality to your creations. Whether you are looking for a weekend escape, a corporate team-building activity, or a therapeutic hour to destress, the environment is key. All clay, tools, and aprons are provided for every student. For one-day sessions, you focus on the wet clay experience, while longer-term workshops offer the full journey, from raw lump to bisque-fired masterpiece. If you choose a package with firing, I handle the post-processing, glazing, and kiln firing back at the studio so you can pick up your permanent, usable ceramic ware a few weeks later. It is not just about the final object, but the shift in perspective you gain after spending time at the wheel. ## About Dipti Gupta I am Dipti Gupta. I have spent over twenty years at the wheel, and I still believe clay is the best therapy you can find.
