Whether we are pinching, coiling, or using slab techniques to craft textured serving platters or whimsical figures, I ensure you have total creative control. You will leave with pieces that feel distinctly yours, not just another factory-made item. Hand-building is one of the most intimate ways to work with clay. Unlike wheel throwing, which requires a specific rhythm and constant rotation, hand-building allows you to slow down and really connect with the material. ### Why Choose Hand-Building? My workshops in Pitampura focus on the core techniques that give you the freedom to build anything you can imagine: * **Pinching and Coiling:** Great for making everything from delicate bowls to organic, textured sculptures. * **Slab Work:** Ideal for creating functional items like cheese platters, plates, and coasters. We use natural textures, like leaves and wheat stalks, to create beautiful, organic impressions. * **Sculpting:** If you have an idea for a character or an abstract form, we spend time focusing on structure and detail, allowing you to bring your vision to life. ### The Creative Experience My rooftop studio is designed to be a judgment-free zone. Whether you are coming in to create a specific gift or simply to spend a few hours away from a screen, these workshops provide a quiet space to focus on your hands. I believe pottery is therapeutic. The physical act of wedging, shaping, and smoothing clay helps you disconnect from the noise of the day. You do not need any prior experience to start. I guide you through the process, from selecting the right clay consistency to the final finishing touches. If you are looking for a creative outlet in Delhi that feels more like a hobby and less like a classroom, this is the place to be. ## About Dipti Gupta I am Dipti, and I have spent the last 20 years proving that pottery is the best kind of therapy.
