We create safe, vegetable-based colors for art you can make together. ## Photos and videos - [Video: For all the pet parents, I host special 'Brushes & Barks' workshops. We use 100% natural, pet-safe colors made from vegetables and flowers, so you can create a masterpiece with your furry friend without any worries.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/d5da2e2e-17db-4e5b-8c70-7c2591f63d3e) ## About Create with Your Pet: Brushes & Barks Most art materials are toxic for pets, so we skip the chemicals entirely. I personally formulate our paints using beetroot, spinach, and turmeric right at the workshop table. It is perfectly safe if your dog decides to taste the colors, allowing you to focus on painting together without worrying about safety. ### Why Natural Colors for Pets Standard acrylics and oils often contain heavy metals and synthetic binders that are dangerous if ingested or absorbed through sensitive paw pads. At my Brushes and Barks workshops, we change the approach. We use organic matter like beetroot, spinach, and marigold extracts to create pigments. If your dog gets curious and decides to lick the canvas, the materials are completely harmless. ### What Happens at the Workshop We keep the environment calm and collaborative. During these two-hour sessions, I guide you through mixing the vegetable-based pigments while your pet is free to roam or participate. We focus on a few key activities: * **Paw Printing:** Capturing your dog’s unique prints using soft, plant-based dyes. * **Abstract Canvas Painting:** Using brushes or your hands to create collaborative patterns. * **Material Prep:** I demonstrate how we extract the color, showing you that real art can come from your own kitchen scraps. ### Practical Details for Pet Parents These events are hosted in partner cafes, such as those in the Whitefield area. The ticket price typically covers the workshop, all painting supplies, and a refreshment for the human participant. Whether your dog is a high-energy pup or a calm senior, the environment is designed to be stress-free. You walk away with a piece of art that marks a shared memory, made with love and nothing artificial. ## About Dyehome I am the artist behind Dyehome, and I believe art should be inclusive, even for our four-legged family members. I have spent years experimenting with natural dyes to ensure that when we create, we are not just making something beautiful but also keeping it safe for everyone involved.
