You really don't. In these sessions, we focus on what you can do at home with kitchen ingredients and basic setups. Whether it is mastering indigo vat maintenance or learning how to fix colors so they stay vibrant after washing, I break it all down so you are never guessing. ### My Approach to Teaching I believe this art form is for everyone. Whether you are a total beginner or an artist looking to add a new skill to your repertoire, my workshops are designed to be hands-on and accessible. We move beyond theory, focusing on the actual practice of creating, just as I do in my own daily work. ### What You Will Learn * **Indigo & Shibori:** Learn the magic of the blue vat. We cover how to maintain the health of your indigo vat, the chemistry behind the blue, and various shibori folding techniques to create patterns. * **Eco-Printing:** I teach you how to steam real leaves and flowers onto fabric. It is a slow, meditative process, and you will learn how to select the right botanicals for the best prints. * **Ayurvastra Fundamentals:** We explore the science of medicinal dyeing. We look at how turmeric, marigold, and other kitchen staples act not just as colorants, but as therapeutic elements for the skin and fabric. * **Color Fixing:** A common pain point is fading. I share my exact methods for mordanting and fixing dyes so your creations last. ### Workshop Formats I offer both online sessions and intimate offline workshops. If you are looking for a business edge, I also conduct specific Masterclasses for women entrepreneurs, where we cover the business side of running a home-based, sustainable textile brand—from sourcing to setting up your home studio.
