We teach you how to approach, groom, and communicate with your assigned horse, ensuring you build trust and confidence from the ground up. Whether you are nervous around large animals or just want to understand them better, these hands-on ground sessions are where your journey truly begins. ### Understanding the Horse-Human Connection Many riders focus only on the saddle time, but the most rewarding part of equestrian life is the time you spend on the ground. At Duke Horse Riding Club, we believe that understanding your horse's temperament is the foundation of safety and enjoyment. ### Why Ground Work Matters * **Building Trust:** By learning how to groom and tack up your horse, you show the animal that you are a reliable partner. This creates a bond that makes every ride smoother and safer. * **Therapeutic Benefits:** Spending quiet time in the stables, away from the chaos of city life, is a proven stress buster. Caring for a horse forces you to slow down, be present, and focus on the task at hand. * **Safety First:** Knowing how to read a horse’s body language—from ear position to tail swishing—helps you anticipate their needs and maintain control during a ride. ### What You Will Learn Our sessions cover the basics of horse care, including proper brushing techniques to keep their coat healthy and safe interaction methods. You will learn how to approach a horse, how to offer treats safely, and how to prepare the tack. These skills are essential for anyone serious about riding, whether you are a complete beginner at our Gurugram facility or an experienced rider looking to refine your horsemanship. We encourage you to come by, spend time in our stable environment, and see how working with horses can change your perspective on life. It is not just about the sport; it is about finding a companion and a peaceful escape in the heart of the Aravallis. ## About Duke Horse Riding Club We are a group of horse lovers who believe the stables are the best place to be.
