As a dancing anchor, I get everyone—from friends to family elders—off their seats and onto the dance floor. ## Photos and videos - [Video: Hosting a Mehendi for a wonderful Malayali family, I made sure to blend their traditions with my signature interactive style. Whether it’s a 'Lavender Love' themed Haldi or a cross-cultural Mehendi, I structure my hosting to keep guests engaged for that 3-4 hour window, ensuring your dadi and cousins are part of the fun, not just watching from the sidelines. Hosting a pre-wedding function is a different beast compared to a formal reception. For Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies, I leave the rigid, formal script at home. My goal here is crowd activation—breaking the ice early so that by the time the music hits, the floor is already packed. ### My Hosting Style I don't just stand on a podium. You will find me moving through the crowd, pulling people into the festivities, and managing the flow of the event. If your family is a mix of Malayali, Gujarati, or Punjabi, I switch between Hindi, English, and Gujarati naturally to make sure every relative understands the flow and feels included. ### Signature Engagement I bring my own set of props and conceptualized games designed for smaller, intimate spaces: - **Musical Funbola:** My take on the classic tambola, but with music and high-energy calling to keep the momentum. - **Photo Scavenger Hunt:** Perfect for getting different family sides to mingle and work together. - **Dance Floor Activation:** I treat these events like a mini-festival. I teach steps, coordinate with your DJ, and keep the energy levels high so your guests don't just sit and eat—they participate. ### How We Work Together Before the big day, we have a video call to finalize the vibe. Whether you want it spiritual and calm for a Godh Bharai or wild and loud for a Mehendi, I tailor the commentary, game choices, and outfit style to match. I am here to ensure that your 3-4 hour window is packed with genuine laughter, not staged announcements. ## About Drashti Vajar I’m Drashti, and I believe every Haldi or Mehendi is a celebration that needs a pulse. I’m not the kind of host who stays glued to the stage; I’ll be on the floor, dancing with your guests and keeping the energy high from start to finish.
