I often use soft, neutral tones like dusty rose or earthy beige instead of loud primary colors to keep the environment calm. If you are choosing between an Annaprashan or a birthday setup, the biggest difference lies in the seating layout; for puja ceremonies, I ensure the decor does not obstruct the ritual space, while for birthdays, we focus on creating an interactive photo zone that works well even when the little one gets fussy. Whether it is the first anniversary of life or a traditional Annaprashan, these early milestones deserve a setting that feels personal. My goal is to handle the logistics so you can actually be present for the moment, rather than managing balloon placement or vendor coordination. ### Designing for Meaning For Mundan or Annaprashan ceremonies, I prioritize cultural aesthetics. This means balancing traditional elements with a modern, clean look. I often work with pampas grass, warm florals, and subtle lighting to create a peaceful zone that does not overwhelm the baby. Unlike standard party setups, these require precise spacing—we need to leave enough room for family rituals without sacrificing the visual impact of the backdrop. ### The First Birthday Balance For a first birthday, the vibe is naturally higher energy. I lean into soft, teddy-bear-inspired themes or boho-rainbow palettes. These are popular because they look stunning in professional photos and remain timeless when you look back on the album in a few years. We use matte-finish balloons and 3D props that are safe for toddlers to be around. ### Practical Logistics * **Setup:** I aim for a 3-hour lead time. In banquet halls, this is crucial so we do not interfere with guests arriving. * **Materiality:** I use only high-quality latex balloons and sturdy props. If we are setting up at home, I make sure the materials are easy to break down so you are not left with a massive mess the next morning. * **Consultation:** Tell me your venue constraints early. A small living room needs a different scale of decor than a hotel banquet hall in Noida or Delhi NCR. Let's keep the focus on the baby. You tell me the theme, and I handle the engineering, the setup, and the cleanup. ## About DMoment Events I am the person behind the setups, making sure your baby’s first big day is stress-free and beautiful. I treat every Mundan or first birthday as if it were for my own family, focusing on the details that make the space feel warm rather than just decorated.
