I focus on Afro-House and deep melodic techno during these golden hours because it builds rhythm without overpowering the conversation. If your venue has a 4-channel mixer ready to go, I can handle the rest, from organic percussion to high-energy beats. My approach to sundowners isn't about playing the top 40 radio hits. It is about crafting a flow. When the sun starts to dip, you need music that breathes. I specialize in Afro-House sets that mix tribal beats with just enough Desi flavour to keep it familiar but fresh. ### Why Afro-House for Sunsets? It is all about the groove. Unlike high-octane club bangers, my Afro x Desi sets are designed for open-air venues, beach clubs, and poolside setups. The bass is deep, the percussion is organic, and it creates a vibe that allows your guests to talk, drink, and dance simultaneously. ### Technical Requirements I take my sound seriously. To get the best out of these sets, I require a 4-channel mixer (Pioneer DJM 900/V10). This lets me layer tracks, play with loops, and keep the transitions seamless. If you are hosting a sundowner event in Mumbai or across India, let me know your venue setup in advance so we can ensure the acoustics match the energy. ### My Style at a Glance - **Music:** Non-commercial Afro-House, tribal beats, melodic techno. - **Vibe:** Sunset to moonrise, sophisticated yet high-energy. - **Engagement:** Minimal mic usage. I let the music and the mix do the talking, reading the room to see when to push the tempo. Whether it's a cocktail hour or a late-night rave, I bring the same intensity I used at Elrow Goa. If you want a soundtrack that feels as good as the view, let's talk. ## About DJ Shikha I don't just play tracks; I curate the soundtrack for your evening. Whether you need tribal Afro-House for a pool party or a deep techno set for a late-night beach vibe, I know exactly how to read the crowd.
