It sounds wild, but it works because I read the energy in the room to decide exactly when to flip the switch. My sound is about movement, not just rhythm. Many people ask how a Marathi Lavani track fits into a high-energy Gujarat Garba night, or why Afro-House feels so right with Bollywood vocals. The answer is in the BPM matching and the breakdown points. I spent years refining my signature Bollytech style, which focuses on dark, driving basslines that underpin familiar Hindi melodies. This avoids the cheesy remix feel and moves towards something more immersive. For beach sundowners or lounge gigs in Mumbai, I lean into my Afro x Desi fusion. These sets use tribal percussion to lift the energy without becoming aggressive, making them perfect for that transition from sunset to late-night party. If you are looking for a standard jukebox set, I might not be the right fit. However, if you want a sonic journey that keeps the dance floor guessing, this is my sweet spot. On the technical front, I work with high-resolution WAV files to ensure the bass holds up on venue-grade sound systems. Whether I am playing at a private Sangeet or a club night, my goal is to keep the energy cohesive. ## About DJ Shikha I could have taken a 9-to-5, but I chose the decks instead. I live to create sets that make a crowd lose their inhibitions. If you want a party that feels less like a performance and more like a shared vibe, come talk to me.
