I treat every Thursday night at venues like Olive Bar & Kitchen like a Saturday, carefully curating a soundscape of Afro House and Techno that shifts with the rhythm of the room, ensuring the dancefloor stays occupied from the first drink to the final track. Establishing a residency is about sound architecture. You aren't just playing hits; you are establishing the venue's sonic identity. When I am behind the decks, my goal is to create a consistent, high-energy atmosphere that keeps regulars coming back. ### My Residency Approach I believe in the 'Midweek Reset.' By applying the same energy levels to a Thursday night that most DJs reserve for weekends, I help venues convert quiet evenings into peak-performance sessions. My sets are a blend of deep house, afro-percussive beats, and subtle techno dips, adjusted in real-time based on the crowd's interaction. ### Frequently Asked Questions **What technical requirements do you have for venues?** I travel light, carrying my MacBook Pro, professional headphones, and performance USBs. I require the venue to provide the standard DJ console, Pioneer CDJ setup, and a well-tuned PA system. **Can you adapt the music to the venue's branding?** Absolutely. I have played for corporate brands like Harley Davidson, where the music had to reflect a specific, high-end identity. I sit down with management to understand the vibe and specific 'No-Play' lists before the residency begins. **Do you do guest spots or only long-term residencies?** I do both. While my focus is on building a signature sound for permanent residencies, I am available for high-impact club takeovers and guest slots where you need a jolt of energy. ## About DJ Sandy I've spent two decades turning Mumbai's busiest bars into my personal dancefloors.
