Whether I am reading a crowd at a midnight Sangeet or finding my flow during a sunrise techno set, that focus is not just performance. It is about locking into the room's frequency, adjusting the bass for the specific acoustics of the venue, and making sure the transition from your family's favorite Punjabi track to a hard-hitting club edit feels seamless. ### The Real Vibe Behind the Console People often ask if the energy on stage is just for the cameras. Honestly, it is me existing in my happy place. When I am behind the Pioneer decks, the world outside fades out. My process starts long before the first beat drops. It begins with the pre-event chat where we figure out the 'must-play' list and the 'absolutely not' list. Once I am up there, I am watching every eye in the room to see what gets people moving. ### My Approach to Open-Format Sets I do not stick to a pre-recorded mix. That takes away the soul of the party. My style is fluid. I might start with smooth lounge beats during cocktail hour, then shift into high-octane Bolly-tech as the night heats up. If I see the crowd vibing with a specific artist, I pivot immediately. ### Why It Works The best sets are the ones where I feel like I am dancing along with you. Whether it is a dusty festival stage or an intimate private party, my goal is the same: to create a space where you can let go. It is not just about playing music; it is about keeping the pulse of the room steady from the first dance to the final after-party track. If you want a DJ who is actually paying attention to the room and not just looking at a screen, we are going to get along just fine. ## About Ray I'm Ray. I live for the drop and I'm happiest when the dance floor is packed. I don't do formal; I do vibes. Whether it's a wedding mandap or a club mosh pit, I'm there to make sure you have a night you'll actually talk about later.
