I do not use backing tracks; I am actively blending Indian vocals with electronic house or techno loops in real time, focusing on tempo matching to keep the energy smooth rather than aggressive. If you want this vibe for a private terrace event or a sundowner, please note that these sessions require a specific sound environment where the organic atmosphere of your location can complement the acoustic clarity of the mix. ### My Approach to the Sound People often ask how I balance the raw emotion of Bollywood with the structure of modern house music. It comes down to respect for the vocal and precise tempo matching. Whether I am sitting on a rooftop in London or looking out over the Jaisalmer desert, my process remains the same. I start with a classic Bollywood melody, then introduce a driving, rhythmic bassline—often drawing from Melodic House, Afro House, or Techno. ### Production & Live Technique While the setting might be relaxed, the technical work is precise. I mix these tracks on the fly, focusing on those dramatic drops using white noise sweeps and signature FX that listeners of my podcast are familiar with. My sets are produced using Ableton Live and advanced time-stretching, ensuring that even when I flip a 90s classic, the audio retains its quality on large PA systems. ### Why Book a Sunset Set These sets are about slowing down and connecting, distinct from the high-energy club thumping I do for college fests or corporate gigs. If you are looking to book me for a sundowner or an upscale private event, these sessions demonstrate how I shift gears to something more melodic and soul-stirring. I am not just a DJ; I am a producer, and every mashup you hear—from the vocals to the bass—is engineered to create a complete audio-visual experience. ### Travel & Setup I am based in my Delhi studio for most of my production work, but I am available to travel for curated events. If you love the aesthetic of these travel sessions and want to bring that specific, global soundscape to your event, let's discuss what technical requirements we need to make it happen. ## About DJ NYK I have spent two decades turning bootleg remixes into a global sound that connects with fans in 199 countries. Whether I am producing original tracks in my Delhi studio or mixing live on a balcony in Spain, I am always chasing that same feeling of pure connection through music.
