At a Sunday brunch at a place like SkyDeck, I keep the tracks groovier and more laid-back to go with food and drinks, but for a big New Year's Eve bash at a venue like Gold Finch Retreat, I ramp up the tempo with heavy Bollywood and EDM tracks to keep the energy high until the countdown. Special occasions call for a different approach. Whether you are hosting a massive NYE celebration or a relaxed Sunday brunch in Bangalore, the music sets the mood. ### My Approach to Holiday Events Big nights like Christmas or New Year's Eve are not just about playing loud music. They are about managing the flow of the night. I start with sets that complement the dinner vibe and then gradually build up the tempo as the clock approaches midnight. I handle MC duties, make announcements, and coordinate with fireworks or confetti drops to ensure the energy stays consistent. I am comfortable working on large festival-style stages with LED walls and heavy sound systems. ### The Brunch Vibe A Sunday brunch requires a lighter touch. I focus on tracks that allow people to talk, eat, and drink without competing with the music. My Sunday sets usually include a mix of deep house, retro Bollywood, and chill commercial hits. It is about keeping the atmosphere upbeat but comfortable. ### Technical Details To make sure everything runs smoothly, I require standard DJ gear like Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS2 players and a DJM 900 mixer. For large events, I perform a mandatory sound check before the doors open. If you have specific requests for your guests or a certain theme in mind, let me know in advance. I love working with organisers to bring their vision to life. Whether it is a Halloween-themed night or a Christmas party, I am always ready to match the theme with the right selection of tracks. ## About James Smith Hey, I am James.
