Whether it is a back-to-back set at Skydeck or prepping playlists in Rekordbox before the doors open, those technical handshakes and shared energy are what keep the night feeling fresh from start to finish. Being a DJ in Bangalore is about community as much as it is about the music. I love connecting with the local scene, from sharing high-energy sets with friends like DJ Prithvi to learning from mentors like DJ Ravi. It is about that unspoken language we share on stage when the bass drops. Beyond the fun, there is real work involved. I spend hours analyzing tracks in Rekordbox and tailoring my playlists to the specific vibe of each venue. Whether I am playing for an intimate lounge crowd in Indiranagar or a massive Saturday night club scene in Koramangala, my technical setup stays consistent. I always travel with my own headphones and backup laptop, ensuring the music never stops no matter what happens on the dancefloor. My style is open-format, so I am constantly working on new mashups to keep things interesting. You will find me bouncing between genres—Bollywood, Commercial, Hip-Hop, or Techno—depending on the crowd and the night. It is about reading the room and keeping the energy high, not just hitting play on a pre-recorded mix. If you are looking for a DJ who brings a personal touch and keeps the vibe real, let’s connect. ## About James Smith I am James, and for me, life is all about the good times and even better music.
