When I spin for Mehendi or sundowner parties, I do not stick to a rigid playlist. I start with lounge-friendly Sufi and deep house to let guests mingle comfortably, but I watch the crowd closely to drop the energy-lifting Bollywood and Punjabi tracks the moment I see them tapping their feet. ### Tailoring the Daytime Sound A sun-drenched Mehendi or a casual sundowner requires a different sonic signature than a late-night reception. The acoustics change outdoors, and the crowd dynamic is usually more conversational. My approach focuses on a gradual sonic journey. We begin with sets featuring melodic House, organic Lounge, and soft Sufi fusion. This fills the space without overpowering your guest's ability to chat or get their henna done. As the sun dips and the cocktails start flowing, we transition into high-tempo Bollywood anthems and UK Punjabi beats to get the energy rising. ### The Technical Setup for Outdoor Venues Daytime events often mean challenging sound environments, such as poolside patios, open lawns, or garden gazebos. I bring professional-grade, compact PA systems that deliver clarity without becoming visual clutter. Whether it is an intimate indoor Mehendi or a sprawling outdoor sundowner in Delhi or across India, the sound is balanced to ensure guests near the console and those on the dance floor have the same crisp experience. ### Why Fusion Works I often incorporate live musicians, such as a dhol player for that extra punch or a saxophonist for a chilled-out jazz vibe during the early afternoon. This hybrid performance adds a tactile element to the music, making the experience feel curated and engaging. ### My Role at Your Event I am not just pressing play. I am MCing, reading the crowd, and managing the transitions between your event highlights and the dance floor moments. Whether it is a lemon-themed setup in a farmhouse or a poolside party in Goa, my goal is to keep the energy consistent, sophisticated, and always dance-ready. ## About Chetan Kapoor I am Chetan.
