I actively mix in live hand percussion, such as claves or guiro, over the music to add raw energy that keeps the dance floor pulsing. For dancers, that texture makes the rhythm feel real and immediate, which is exactly why my sets feel different from a standard, hands-off DJ mix. ### Why My Sets Are Built for Dancers I approach DJing from the perspective of a social dancer. I know that the difference between a good night and a great night isn't just the playlist—it's the timing, the energy, and the connection between the music and the floor. When I curate a set for Salsa, Bachata, or Kizomba events, I focus on phrasing and danceability. Whether it is old-school Salsa On1, smooth On2 rhythms, or the deep, soulful beats of Urban Kiz, my priority is keeping the energy consistent so people don't want to stop moving. ### What I Bring to Your Event - **Hybrid DJing:** I don't just stand behind the console. I incorporate live hand percussion to build excitement and keep the vibe interactive. - **Adaptable Genres:** I specialize in the Afro-Latin spectrum but can mix in commercial or pop hits later in the night if the crowd needs a shift. - **Technical Reliability:** I run a professional setup with a Numark controller and Serato DJ Pro, ensuring seamless transitions that don't break the flow of the dance. ### Planning Your Night I have played at venues like Khar Social and for major dance festivals across the country. I am happy to hop on a call before your event to discuss the specific mood you want to set. Whether you need a 4-hour high-energy music set or a package that includes a 30-minute beginner workshop to break the ice, we can tailor the structure to your venue and crowd. ## About Vrajesh Artist I’ve spent fourteen years chasing that exact moment when the music hits and everyone on the floor just clicks. Whether I'm at the deck in Mumbai or spinning at a festival, I play for dancers, not just for the room. Let's make your next event one where nobody wants to sit down.
