This is ideal for outdoor day events where you want that premium, earthy texture that standard pre-recorded tracks cannot deliver. ### What is the Sur-Taal Project? This is my signature fusion concept. It is not just about playing music; it is about merging the digital precision of modern electronic sets with the organic, rhythmic soul of Indian classical instruments. When I am on the deck, I am synced with a live tabla player (or sometimes a flautist, depending on your vibe), meaning every beat is responsive and alive. ### Why it works for your event Most DJs play from a playlist, but I perform. For Haldi ceremonies or sundowners, this fusion style keeps the energy moving. We start with melodic techno and house as guests arrive, then gradually transition into higher-tempo fusion beats as the party warms up. It provides a sophisticated yet energetic backdrop that works across venues, from beachside resorts in Goa to city hotels. ### Technical requirements Because this is a live performance, I keep the tech rider simple so we can plug in and play anywhere. I bring the performance console, the visual loops, and the artist. All I need from your side is a solid sound system (PA), a console table, and if we are using our VJ visuals, an LED wall. If you are hosting a destination event, I travel with the team to ensure the sound matches the scale of your celebration. ## About DJ Alex I'm DJ Alex. The Sur-Taal Project started because I wanted to bridge the gap between pure electronic music and the heartbeat of Indian percussion. I don't just spin tracks; I perform alongside masters of the tabla to keep the energy shifting with the sun. It is the perfect pulse for your day events.
