For my Retro Rewind sets, I perform live video mixing, syncing the original music videos to every beat. When those classic visuals hit the big screen, you get that instant rush of nostalgia, and that is exactly what turns a standard party into a massive, hands-in-the-air singalong session. ### More Than Just Music When I say 'Retro Rewind,' I am not just talking about a playlist of old songs. I am talking about creating a mood. I dig into the crates to find the 90s hip-hop, the golden-age Bollywood anthems, and the timeless English pop-rock that everyone knows by heart but rarely gets to hear on a proper club sound system. ### The VDJ Advantage What really sets these sets apart is the visuals. As a Video DJ, I am constantly mixing the original music videos live. Seeing your favorite stars from the 90s on the big screen, perfectly synced to the beat, changes the whole energy of the room. It’s not just about dancing; it’s about reliving those moments. ### Where I Play I’ve brought this retro vibe to spots all over the Mumbai Metropolitan Area, from pubs in Bandra to lounge bars in Thane and Vashi. Whether it’s a themed Friday night or a special retro-style wedding sangeet, I ensure the music travels across generations. ### Practical Details * **Genre Focus:** 90s Bollywood, Retro English Pop, Old School Hip-Hop. * **Setup:** I bring my Pioneer console and high-performance laptop for smooth video and audio syncing. * **Venue Needs:** For the full Retro Rewind experience, the venue needs to have functional screens or LED walls ready for me to plug into. * **Flexibility:** I am a firm believer in reading the room. If the crowd is feeling the 90s vibe, we go all in. If they need a twist of commercial hits, I have the library to switch it up instantly without breaking the flow. ## About Tejesh Poojary I’m VDJ Teju.
