I manage the crowd's energy, working with the light team to keep the intensity high even in open-air setups. My sets are designed to handle the chaos, blending mainstream Bollywood hits with my signature Sambalpuri remixes that really get the Bangalore crowd going. ### Handling the Holi Chaos Holi isn't just another gig. It's a test of stamina and sound management. When I'm at an event like the ones I've done at Skydeck or UCB, the environment is unpredictable—colors everywhere, humidity, and massive crowds. I bring my own MC energy, using the mic to direct the vibe, whether it's counting down for a color throw or hyping up the drop. I know how to read a crowd that's been dancing since the morning and keep them moving until the sun goes down. ### The Sound Profile My Holi sets aren't one-dimensional. I mix commercial Bollywood and Punjabi hits with high-tempo EDM, but the real spice is my Sambalpuri and Ollywood roots. Integrating these tribal-fusion beats into a modern tech-house set creates a vibe you won't hear from a standard DJ. It’s loud, it’s rhythmic, and it’s perfect for open-air festivals. ### What You Get With Me - **Crowd Engagement:** I’m active on the mic. Expect me to hype the floor, manage the color-throw timing, and keep the energy levels peaking. - **Technical Reliability:** I understand the challenges of outdoor festival audio. I work with sound teams to ensure the bass cuts through the open space so the music doesn't get lost in the wind. - **Adaptable Sets:** Whether it's a 300-person community bash or a massive ticketed event, I structure my music to peak when the energy is highest. If you want a DJ who doesn't just spin tracks but actually brings the party to life, let's talk. ## About DJ Shan I'm DJ Shan, an Odia toka living for that festival madness. Whether it's a packed Skydeck event or a massive community Holi bash, I bring the Ollywood vibe and non-stop energy to the stage. I don't just spin; I make sure the whole crowd is jumping.
