I arrive 60 minutes early for sound checks because I know that with big crowds—especially at places like Tap Restro Bar or open-air Holi bashes—the audio setup needs to be perfect from the first beat. I use my professional wireless mic to hype the crowd, so whether it's a Holi countdown or a freshers' bash, the energy never drops. ### How I Handle Large Crowds Festivals like Holi and New Year’s Eve require a different level of stamina and engagement. I don’t just play a pre-set list. I read the room. If the crowd is feeling the 90s Bollywood nostalgia, I mix that with high-energy commercial anthems to keep the dance floor packed. My experience as a resident DJ in Mumbai—from Andheri to Worli—means I’ve handled every kind of audience, so I know exactly how to manage flow and keep the vibe consistent for 5 to 6 hours. ### The Setup Great energy needs great sound. I carry professional JBL or RCF 15-inch active speakers and use industry-standard Pioneer gear. For festival themes, I often use effects like CO2 guns or pyro cues to turn a song into a moment. You aren't just hiring a guy with a laptop; you're hiring someone who manages the sound, the mic, and the crowd dynamic. ### Why My Approach Works * **Interactive MCing:** I use my mic to get people on the floor, not just to make announcements. * **Custom Playlists:** Tell me the theme—whether it's a corporate event or a college freshers’ party—and I’ll craft the set accordingly. * **Professional Reliability:** I arrive early, handle my own setup, and coordinate with venue staff, so you have one less thing to worry about. ## About Rupesh Lakheda I’m Rupesh.
