Here is a look at the energy I bring to the booth. ## Photos and videos - [Video: This is what happens when you let me take control of the music. Here, I blended the classic 90s Bollywood song 'Suna Suna Lamha Lamha' with a high-energy psy-trance track for a Halloween party in Agartala. Whether it is a sunset lounge session or a packed dance floor, I read the crowd in real time, mixing live to keep the energy shifting. I bring my own professional Pioneer controller and MacBook, so all you need to provide is the venue's sound system. I approach DJing with the same curiosity I bring to my PhD research. It is about understanding the variables and creating a reaction. My sets are known for being unpredictable. I might layer a classic 90s track over a psy-trance beat or mix a regional Kokborok rap with hip-hop to surprise the crowd. This is my signature 'Queen of Mashups' style, and I love seeing the reaction when I drop a track people did not expect to hear. I am based in Agartala but perform across India and internationally. For every event, I do a pre-event call to walk through your 'Do Not Play' list and your favorite genres. I arrive 60 minutes early for sound checks to ensure the levels are dialed in for your specific space, whether it is a beach, a rooftop, or a corporate ballroom. I am equally comfortable at a high-volume festival as I am providing deep-house atmosphere for a sunset gathering. Let us build a set that matches your vibe, not just a standard playlist. ## About Rislyn Debbarma I am Rislyn, a scientist by day and a DJ by night.
