Whether it is a deep chill sunset session or a high-energy resort set, I rely on my Pioneer CDJ setup to read the crowd and blend global rhythms. If you are looking for an international sound for your own event or venue, let us chat about the vibe you want to build. My journey as a DJ has been unconventional. Balancing the structured world of medical research with the creative freedom of the decks means I approach every set with both precision and passion. When you see me in these photos, you are seeing a culmination of years of practice—from learning manual beat-matching in my home in Tripura to managing library analysis on Rekordbox in a seaplane en route to the Maldives. ### The Science of the Set I don't just hit play. My background in science makes me hyper-aware of timing and structure. I use harmonic mixing, based on Camelot wheel theory, to ensure that the transition between tracks is seamless and emotionally resonant. Whether I am playing a deep chill set for a sunset session in Jabal Akhdar or a high-tempo corporate event, the technical foundation remains the same: I focus on EQ isolation (Highs, Mids, and Lows) and creative looping to keep the energy exactly where it needs to be. ### Performing Abroad Playing at luxury resorts and rooftop lounges in Oman requires a different approach than a standard club night. The environment dictates the music. I specialize in: * **Sunset Sessions:** Curated playlists that transition from ambient, chill vibes to upbeat house as the evening progresses. * **Genre Blending:** I love mixing Bollywood vocals over House beats to create a unique mashup that appeals to diverse audiences. * **Venue Adaptation:** I am used to setting up in diverse conditions, from poolside decks to mountain-top venues, and I always ensure my gear and sound check are handled with professionalism. Whether you need a DJ for a private party, a destination wedding, or a high-end corporate gathering, I bring the same energy and professionalism that has taken me across India, Nepal, Malaysia, and beyond. Let us create a unique atmosphere for your next event. ## About Rislyn Debbarma I am Rislyn—a PhD researcher by day and a DJ by night.
