## About Turntablism Performance

### What I Do

Turntablism isn't just DJing for me - it's about turning those decks into a real musical instrument. I use turntables, vinyl, and a mixer to perform live, flipping tracks and sounds right in front of you. My vibe is raw and unpredictable. Sometimes I mess up, but that's how I keep growing. No pre-made playlists, just real-time remixing and pure energy.

### Skills On Deck

- Live scratching is my main thing - I practice all the classic techniques, from Crab Scratch to faderless tricks, adding that gritty hip hop texture.
- Beat juggling? Love it. Taking two copies of the same track, I chop and flip the beats to make a new rhythm. Sometimes it's MJ, sometimes Eminem, depends on what the crowd feels.
- Mashups just happen on the spot. Like, Backstreet Boys with a bit of Vanilla Ice? If it sounds wild, I'll try it live.

### My Vibe

Old school hip hop DJ set is my foundation, but I switch it up. You'll hear anything from Tupac to proper Tamil kuthu, all mixed for the dancefloor - whatever keeps people moving.

### Credentials

I was Runner-Up at 'War of the DJs' Bangalore (2014). That pressure of a DJ battle, the crowd, the mayhem - that's what keeps me hooked.

### My story

Yo, I'm Karthik, or DJ Wicked Blaze. You’ll see me spinning tracks or hitting the gym – both need full power, da! Practice, mistakes, all part of my vibe. I'll mess up, laugh, try again. 2014 'War of the DJ’s' runner-up, bro, still gives me chills. My machas keep me going, and yeah, I wear caps ‘cause I love ‘em, not ‘cause I’m bald! Life’s short, so I just have fun.
