My percussionist and I actually rehearse specific rhythmic solos that sync with the electronic drops. It means when the beat hits, the live drum rhythm lands perfectly with it, keeping the energy consistent and punchy instead of messy. It is the difference between background noise and a live performance that demands attention. ### Why Go for Fusion? Most DJs just hit play on a laptop. That works for some parties, but if you want people to stop and stare, you need something different. My approach blends the precision of electronic beats—think Afro House or deep remixes—with the raw, unpredictable power of live acoustic instruments. Whether it is a saxophonist roaming through the crowd at a Delhi cocktail hour or a Rajasthani folk singer performing alongside my console, we bridge the gap between a club set and a live concert. ### The Technical Side Bringing live artists into a DJ set is not as simple as plugging in a mic. I utilize multi-channel audio routing to balance the tracks with two or more live acoustic instruments. My team includes an on-site sound engineer assistant who monitors levels in real-time. This ensures that the saxophone or electric violin does not get drowned out by the bass, and the percussion stays crisp. We require a solid PA system at the venue to handle this multi-layer output, but when it clicks, the sound is massive. ### My Artist Fam I do not work with random session players. I collaborate with a regular crew of percussionists, saxophonists, and violinists who I trust. We have rehearsed routines, which means we can execute 'Jugalbandi' (call and response) segments on the fly. It is high-energy, it is tight, and it is designed to keep your guests on the dance floor until the very end. Whether you are planning a destination wedding in Udaipur or a reception in New Delhi, I bring this setup to wherever the party is calling. ## About Ajay Nautiyal I am Ajay, and for me, a set is a conversation. I love mixing Afro House with Rajasthani folk or bringing in an electric violinist to turn a standard track into something you feel in your bones. It is all about that mashup energy.
