With dhol players leading the procession and guests dancing with abandon, it's a celebration of happy faces and non-stop moves.](https://assets.mytribe.in/insecure/raw:1/plain/s3://mytribe-assets-production/0a942f3c-d80e-4eda-a6ea-73948dbe64d7) ## About The Punjabi Dhol Experience The real magic happens when the beat drops and the dhol player locks in with my mix. It is not just about playing tracks; it is about creating a live, reactive show where every beat change and rhythm switch responds to the energy of your crowd, ensuring the dance floor never stops. When you bring in a live dhol player alongside a DJ, you are shifting from a playlist to a concert-style performance. This is what I call my Artist Fam approach. Instead of just adding background noise, my dhol players and I perform a true Jugalbandi, or call-and-response, where the electronic bass and the acoustic dhol beats feed off each other. ### Why the Dhol Makes the Baraat - **High-Energy Sync:** My percussionists and I rehearse together, so we know exactly when to cut the music for a solo and when to layer the dhol over a heavy drop. - **Crowd Interaction:** A live dhol player can move through the crowd, pulling people into the center of the action. It turns a static dance floor into a moving, breathing party. - **Versatility:** Whether it is a traditional baraat entry or a high-octane reception, we adapt the intensity. We can go from slow-building rhythmic intros to peak-hour Bollywood bangers. ### What You Need to Know To pull this off, the coordination is key. I work with my trusted team of percussionists to ensure the sound levels are balanced perfectly. While I handle the Pioneer DJ console, we rely on the venue's PA system to carry the weight of both the electronic and acoustic sound. If you are planning a destination wedding, I bring that same crew to keep the performance tight and the energy consistent, no matter the city. ## About Ajay Nautiyal I do not just play tracks; I build a show. When my dhol player and I get on stage, the entire energy shifts because we are not following a playlist, we are following the dance floor.
