You do not just hear this; you feel the drums in your chest. Unlike a standard solo DJ set, this hybrid setup requires extra floor space for the percussionists. We always coordinate with your decorator during the soundcheck to ensure there is a clear, safe zone for the drums right in the mix, so your guests can get close without bumping into the instruments. ### More Than Just Music Think of this as a hybrid concert. I am not just playing tracks; I am actively remixing electronic beats live against the Basti Crew’s percussion. We take traditional dhol, djembe, and congas and layer them over Bollywood, Punjabi, and techno tracks. It creates a rhythm that pushes people to dance harder and keeps the energy levels peaking throughout the night. ### Why Fusion Works for Weddings Indian weddings are all about that 'mahol.' A solo DJ is great, but adding live percussion bridges the gap between old-school traditions and modern party vibes. It is especially effective for: * **Sangeet Nights:** Where you need high-tempo transitions and a crowd that stays on the floor. * **Baraat Processions:** Adding live dhol to the mix makes the procession feel more organic and intense. * **Receptions:** It turns a standard evening into a high-octane performance. ### The Technical Side Because we are mixing live instruments, the setup needs a bit more attention than a standard DJ console. We need to mic up the percussionists, which means I arrive at least 2 to 3 hours early to run a full sound check. If you have a specific venue in mind, let me know early; we need to make sure the stage layout gives the Basti Crew enough room to move. My goal is to make it look and sound seamless, so you just focus on the dance floor. ## About Sidharth Talwar After 28 years behind the decks, I have learned that the best parties are not just played, they are felt. I am not just a guy pressing buttons; I am the one on the floor with you, mixing live beats with the Basti Crew so you get that raw, concert-level energy right at your wedding.
