Lalu Singh Samman 2025 in Agra was a deeply humbling experience. While these honors are significant, I view them primarily as a reminder to stay grounded and committed to the relentless practice required for this art form. Every award I have been fortunate enough to receive acts as a milestone in my musical path, rather than a destination. The Pt. Lalu Singh Samman 2025, presented by the Taal Sargam Academy, is a reflection of the time spent in riyaaz and the constant pursuit of tonal clarity. In our tradition, recognition is not just about the performer but a tribute to the lineage. My approach to music, whether I am playing a complex Kaida or teaching a beginner the basics of hand placement, remains consistent. I carry the teachings of my guru, Shri Naveen Kumar, into every interaction. This recognition validates the path we have chosen, but my true joy lies in the ongoing dialogue with the instrument.
