It is not just about the technical footwork or the speed of the rhythm. I work with you to understand the theme of your event so that the music and the movements speak directly to your guests, whether we are invoking Ganesha for a new beginning or retelling a chapter from the epics. ### More Than Just Steps Bharatanatyam is a complete language. When you choose a devotional performance, you are inviting a tradition that spans centuries into your venue. My approach to these recitals is rooted in the Guru-Shishya parampara, ensuring that every gesture, or mudra, carries its intended meaning. ### The Art of Abhinaya While the technical rhythmic patterns (Nritta) are essential, the heart of my storytelling lies in Abhinaya. This is where I shift from a dancer to a storyteller. Through subtle facial expressions and body language, I portray the emotions of deities like Lord Rama, Lord Shiva, or the Navadurga. This level of engagement is what makes these performances suitable for everything from intimate home gatherings to grand stage events. ### Customization for Your Event Every space and every audience is different. For smaller events or invocations, I can perform solo pieces using high-quality studio tracks that capture the essence of a full orchestra. If you are looking for a grander experience, I collaborate with a full Carnatic musical ensemble—including vocalists, mridangam players, and violinists—to create an authentic Margam experience. We discuss the narrative well in advance. Whether you want a high-energy Thillana to close a session or a slow, meditative storytelling piece to start an inauguration, the repertoire is chosen to fit the specific spiritual energy you want to create. ## About Divya Srikanth I’m Divya.
