These photos capture my spontaneous rehearsals and temple dances where the rhythm simply took over. ## Photos and videos - ![On a solo trip to Hampi, surrounded by the beauty of its ancient temples and rocky landscapes. They capture those rare, honest moments when I am dancing for myself at ancient temples or quiet, rocky landscapes. You will see me in comfortable, everyday clothes rather than full silk costumes and heavy jewelry. It is a glimpse into how I integrate movement into my travels, turning historic sites like Hampi into my private studio. For me, Bharatanatyam is a constant companion. People often ask if I practice only for shows or classes, but the truth is that dance happens whenever inspiration strikes. When I travel, the energy of a place like Hampi, with its ancient stone architecture and silence, often feels like a call to perform. ### Why spontaneous dance? These moments are about unlearning the pressure of perfection. In a formal recital, every angle of the Nritta or the expression of the Abhinaya must be precise. In these impromptu sessions, I focus on the connection with the space. It is spiritual, raw, and entirely for myself. ### Is this different from my professional services? Yes. This cluster showcases the personal side of my art. If you are looking for formal stage recitals with live Carnatic orchestras or group productions, I have separate clusters for those. Here, you get to see the person behind the performer. It is a peek into the devotion, discipline, and occasional madness that keeps me connected to my roots. Whether I am dancing in a temple or practicing a new Jathi during a break, these clips represent the joy of the craft. ## About Divya Srikanth For me, Bharatanatyam is a spiritual anchor, not just a job. Whether I am teaching in the traditional Guru-Shishya parampara or breaking into a dance at an ancient temple, I am always learning and sharing this art.
