I use a combination of Aari shading and 3D Zardosi to make these figures pop, ensuring the embroidery feels like it belongs to your saree rather than sitting on top of it. These motifs are the heart of South Indian bridal heritage. When you choose a doli scene, royal elephant, or peacock design, you are wearing a piece of tradition. In my studio, I don’t just trace patterns. I look at your saree—the weave, the border, the color—and then I adapt the motif size so it complements, not competes with, the fabric. Whether you want a subtle, elegant peacock feather on the sleeve or a bold, statement-making royal elephant on the back, I adjust the technique to match. I use advanced Maggam work for structure and Aari embroidery for those fine, graceful curves that define a bird's feathers or an elephant’s trunk.
