When you order a blouse, I create your latkans using the exact same fabric, thread colours, and motifs from your main embroidery. If we use peacock or floral designs on your sleeves, I carry that specific shape into your back tie-up. It is this attention to coordination that ensures your blouse looks complete, not thrown together. For me, the back of the blouse is a canvas. While many focus only on the front, the tie-up and the finishing touches are where I really get to show my craft. Whether it is simple piping for a daily wear blouse or complex, hand-embroidered figure latkans for your Mahurtham, the quality of the finish matters. ### Why Custom Details Matter When you wear a saree, the blouse back is often the first thing people notice. A generic, store-bought tassel can look out of place on a high-end Aari or Maggam work blouse. By customizing the finishing, we achieve a few things: * **Perfect Coordination:** We use the leftover fabric from your blouse piece to ensure the latkan colour matches perfectly, rather than settling for something that is 'close enough'. * **Design Continuity:** If we are doing a Doli or Royal Elephant theme on the back neck, I can replicate that theme in miniature form for your tassels. * **Weight and Balance:** Heavy embroidery needs a substantial tassel to hold the tie-up in place. I adjust the stuffing and structure so it sits beautifully against your back. ### My Approach to Finishing I often use techniques like layering Zardosi and adding pearl drops to give the latkans a 3D effect. For clients who want a cleaner look, I do simple knot work with delicate bead edging. It is all about what fits your personality and the event.
