I wanted to create a place where kids from any background, even those whose parents are auto-rickshaw drivers or maids, could get a real chance to play for Mumbai and even India. We train on real red soil pitches at Gandhi Maidan because a match is not played in a closed room. Whether it is the blistering summer heat or monsoon mud, we keep our sessions running. My only requirement is that you show up with the hunger to put in the effort. I started this academy in 2008 because I know what it takes to rise from a middle-class background. My coaching is not about shiny clubhouses; it is about 'asli maidan' (real ground) cricket. We prepare you for the pressure of tournaments like the Giles Shield, Harris Shield, and Kanga Knockout. ### Our Training Philosophy * **Real Conditions:** We train on red soil and matting wickets. You will learn to handle uneven bounces and muddy outfields because that is how real cricket is played. * **Fitness First:** Before you pick up a bat, you need stamina. Our drills focus on agility, leg strength, and endurance to keep you going in 40-degree heat or rain. * **Process Over Polish:** I am not here to make you look good for social media. I am here to help you get selected for the Mumbai city and state teams. We accept students from all backgrounds. If you have the talent and the discipline to work hard, I will give you every opportunity to be noticed by selectors. We do not believe in shortcuts. We believe in daily net practice, match simulations, and the grit to keep going when things get tough. ## About Dinesh Salunkhe Cricket Academy I played for Rajasthan Royals and won the IPL in 2008, but my biggest win is seeing my students make it to Mumbai teams.
