This is my visual diary, where I capture life as it happens, one sketch at a time. ## Photos and videos - [Video: Art can happen anywhere, even on the serene banks of Pangong Lake in Leh. Whether I am catching a quick portrait of a fellow passenger on the Delhi metro or painting the still waters of Pangong Lake, these sketches are not about perfection. They are about observation, training my eyes to see the beauty in an ordinary commute or a fleeting train ride. People often ask me if I feel awkward sketching in public. My answer is always no. When you are focused on the lines, the shadows, and the composition, the crowd fades away. My sketchbook is my sidekick. I use standard fine line pens for my metro doodles and travel-friendly watercolor sets for my outdoor work in places like Leh or the Red Fort. You do not need expensive gear to start your own visual diary. You just need to commit to the habit. These sketches form the foundation of my art—they keep me creative when I am traveling or just sitting in a cafe. If you want to learn how to capture scenes on the go or understand the basics of perspective, join my urban sketching sessions. We head to parks and monuments across Delhi NCR, turning the chaos of the city into a calm, creative practice. It is perfect for anyone, even if you have never held a brush before. Let's find the artist hidden inside you. ## About Dikshita Jain I am a self-taught artist who believes everyone has a creative side waiting to come out.
