A sitar isn't just an instrument to me, it's how I breathe. My music is all about connecting, whether you're a hardcore classical fan or just someone vibing at a modern event. I play from the heart, keeping it real with every note.

### What You Get

- I customise every set for the mood and crowd. Want pure Hindustani classical sitar recital? I dig deep into the traditions, playing soulful *Alaap*, rhythmic *Gat*, and high-energy *Jhala*. Usually, I jam with a tabla player for that classic jugalbandi feel.
- If fusion is more your scene, I mix sitar with electronica, rock, even lofi beats. I love experimenting, so you’ll hear Bollywood instrumentals, devotional tunes, and some originals.
- I’ve played everywhere - big festivals, G20 and BIMSTEC summits, art events, and fancy corporate gigs. Weddings, anniversaries, and private baithak style house concert (intimate home performances) are also my thing.

## Meet your expert

[Dhruv Bedi](https://mytribe.in/dhruv_bedi)

### My story

Namaskar, I'm Dhruv Bedi. Sitar is not just an instrument for me, it’s family, it’s legacy. Learnt first from my father, then dived deep into the world of classical music. Awards? Haan, mil gaye (yeah, got some), but they just remind me to keep the music honest. I love performing, teaching, and mixing old-school raags with new-age sounds. Schools, festivals, home gigs – I’m always up for sharing some real music.

### My work

- **Sitar Performances & Collaborations**: I play solo recitals, jugalbandi, and Sitar fusion collaborations for events, festivals, and house concerts.
- **Fusion & Folktronica**: Rooted in Hindustani raag recital, but I also do folktronica sitar performance and lofi Bollywood sitar tracks.
- **Workshops & Lecture-Demos**: I run classical music workshops, often in schools, to connect young folks to Indian classical arts.
- **Performance Approach**: Each gig’s different - whether it’s pure alaap-jhala or a high-energy fusion, I keep it authentic and expressive.
