My job is to bridge that gap. I focus on camera-ready form—posture, dribble stance, and signature moves—that makes actors look like pros, even if they have never held a basketball before. We don't just shoot scenes; we engineer the flow of the game to match your script's intensity and camera angles. ### From Script to Screen: Real Sports, Not Fake Action When I work on a project, whether it is a feature film like *Sitaare Zameen Par* or a streaming series, my goal is simple: authenticity. If a basketball scene is meant to be high-stakes, the players on screen need to look like they understand the pressure, the rules, and the mechanics of the game. ### How I Support Your Production I offer two distinct approaches depending on your project's needs: **1. Sports Choreography & Direction** This is for the director who wants the action to be the star. I handle the end-to-end sports logic. * **Script Breakdown:** I analyze your scenes to align sports rules, timing, and foul logic with the story arc. * **Action Storyboarding:** I design specific plays—dunks, buzzer-beaters, or fast-breaks—that align perfectly with your camera team's vision. * **On-Set Execution:** I direct the physical movement of all athletes on screen, ensuring the energy remains high and the action is safe and realistic. **2. Actor Sports Preparation** If your leads need to look like ballers, I train them to sell the role. * **Visual Mechanics:** We focus on the aesthetic: how to hold the ball, the stance of a defender, and the flow of a crossover. * **Hero Moves:** I build 2-3 signature moves tailored to the actor's physical ability so they can perform them convincingly on camera. * **Conditioning:** I teach sport-specific stamina so the actor doesn't look exhausted after two takes. My experience goes beyond just basketball; I understand the rhythm of a film set. I know when to suggest a lower camera angle for impact and when to adjust a player's footwork so the edit creates the perfect shot.
