Because we use zero preservatives, we prepare your order specifically for your departure, ensuring that every packet of Dal Makhani or Paneer Butter Masala packet stays fresh in your luggage for the entire duration of your trip. ### Why Travelers Trust Us Finding pure vegetarian and Jain food in countries like Germany, the US, or Singapore can be a real headache. Our customers consistently tell us that Desi Khana feels less like 'packaged food' and more like a dabba from home. Whether you are a student pulling an all-nighter in a dorm, or a family traveling through Europe, our freeze-dried meals provide a reliable, healthy solution that requires nothing more than a kettle of hot water. ### Quality You Can Taste We don't use palm oil or chemical preservatives. Every dish, from our Dal Makhani to our Gajar Halwa, is made with Sunflower oil and Amul butter. This is why parents feel comfortable sending these packets with their children abroad. It is not just about the convenience of a 3-minute meal; it is about knowing exactly what is inside the pouch. ### Frequently Asked Questions * **Is refrigeration required?** No. Our freeze-drying process removes all water, which means no germs and no need for a fridge. You can pack these in your check-in luggage without any worry. * **How long do they last?** They have a shelf life of 6 to 12 months, making them perfect for long semesters abroad or extended vacations. * **Can I customize my order?** Yes. We frequently help students curate bundles of 14+ meals so they have a mix of breakfast, lunch, and dinner options tailored to their taste. From a massive 1,000-packet delivery for a group trip to Switzerland to a simple comfort meal for a student in Singapore, we take pride in being a small part of your journey. ## About Desi Khana I’m Sheetal, and I started this journey because I truly missed good, clean Indian food when I was flying.
