It is about the drainage and weatherproofing underneath. I prioritize structural integrity, ensuring your water features and garden beds are perfectly sealed before we install finishing touches like ambient lighting or composite decking. ### Planning for the Elements Designing outdoors in North India requires a focus on climate resilience. Whether it is a terrace in Noida or a garden setup in Aligarh, the structural foundation is the most critical part of the process. I start by inspecting the existing slab for slope and drainage capacity to prevent water pooling. Once the technical base is secured, we move into the aesthetic layout. ### My Approach to Outdoor Design - **Pergola & Shade:** I design pergolas using weather-resistant materials that offer shade without blocking airflow. We can integrate fans or misting systems for the hotter months. - **Waterproofing & Landscaping:** Every planter box or water feature is lined with heavy-duty waterproofing membranes. I select plants that thrive in our local weather, requiring minimal maintenance. - **Lighting & Ambiance:** I use layered lighting—warm spotlights for trees, path lights for safety, and ambient strip lights for seating areas—to make your terrace usable well into the evening. ### The Turnkey Process I handle the entire project, from civil changes like wall breaking or adding staircases, to the final styling of rugs and outdoor artifacts. You get one point of contact for the civil work, electrical points, and carpentry, so you do not have to coordinate with multiple contractors. If you are looking for specific Vastu-compliant layouts or need a mix of modern and traditional architecture, I work closely with you to align the design with your requirements. ## About Designs by Tamanna I am Tamanna.
