## About Commercial & Institutional Architecture

### What Drives Us

We don’t just put up buildings - we shape spaces where people come together, learn, and belong. At Design Matters Architects, our heart lies in commercial and institutional architecture that’s built for the community, not just for the sake of it.

### How We Design

Every project starts with a chat. I dig into what the site is saying - the shape, the vibe, the people around. Context really matters. Like, for the KPS School in Badami, we used earthy reds and playful circles inspired by the local caves. The plot was a weird triangle, but we made it work by wrapping classrooms along the edges and giving the kids a big, safe playground in the middle.

I’m big on natural light, open spaces, and modern forms. Glass and steel? Yeah, but only when it feels right. The focus stays on making places that help folks — students, teachers, workers — do their thing comfortably.

### No Cookie-Cutter Plans

Each campus or office gets its own logic. I plan out clear paths, welcoming entryways, and central courtyards where people actually want to hang out. For bigger projects like the North Karnataka campus, master planning is key. We set up spaces so departments and common areas flow naturally.

### Working Together

It’s not just my vision, it’s ours. I’ll share 3D visuals, tweak details as we go, and keep the process open. Sometimes the site throws us a curveball, but I like finding creative fixes. End of the day, what matters is making spaces that feel right for you.

## Meet your expert

### My story

Hey, we’re Design Matters Architects. Started out in 2011, just wanting to make spaces that mean something. We’re all about mixing those classic Indian vibes—Athangudi tiles, exposed brick, Kota stone—with clean, modern lines. Our thing is ‘Indian Modern’. We love seeing homes come alive with sunlight, open corners, and bits of tradition. For us, a house is more than walls. It’s where life happens, and every bit should feel honest, cozy, and yours.

### My work

- **Architecture & Interior Design Services**: We do residential, commercial architecture and full interiors, from start to finish.
- **Indian Modern Style**: We blend contemporary lines with earthy Indian touches, like Athangudi tile architecture and exposed brick interiors.
- **Material Mastery**: Love working with natural stuff—Kota stone, Jaisalmer marble, cane, wood—each project gets its own soul.
- **Light & Space**: We design for natural light residential spaces using skylights, courtyards, and big windows for that open feel.
- **Personalised Designs**: Your needs come first. We shape every home around your story, making sure it fits you, not just the blueprint.
