Because everything is handmade and cooked to order, we ask for at least 2 days' notice to prepare your batch. This ensures your food reaches you without any industrial preservatives, tasting exactly like it came off our own stove. At Desi Classics, our kitchen is an extension of our home. When you see us making our Moong Dal Nachos or steaming Khaman Dhokla, you are seeing the same process we use for our own family meals. We believe in slow food, which means we avoid shortcuts. * **Hand-Rolled & Freshly Fried:** Whether it is rolling the dough for our savory crackers or prepping the batter for dhokla, we do it all by hand in small batches. This attention to detail is why our snacks stay crisp and flavorful without the need for synthetic additives. * **Traditional Methods, Modern Convenience:** We use regional ingredients and time-tested techniques passed down from our grandmothers. While we stick to tradition, we pack everything in travel-ready, resealable pouches so you can carry a bit of home with you across Mumbai or on longer journeys. * **Made to Order:** Since we operate a home-based kitchen, your order is always fresh. We do not keep pre-cooked stock on shelves. This is why we request a 48-hour window for most orders. It gives us the time to source the freshest ingredients and cook with the care that 'Maa ke haath ka khana' deserves. Whether you are planning a small get-together, need a travel snack, or just want to stock up on healthy, homemade comfort food, we are ready to cook for you. ## About Desi Classics It is just me and my mom in the kitchen, laughing and fixing masalas together.
