I keep these live sketches quick and conversational, often turning it into a game where we guess what silly feature I'm drawing next, which helps keep them calm and smiling while I work. When I am at an event in Mumbai, my goal isn't just to make a quick sketch. It is about the interaction. Whether it is a birthday party, a family event, or a community festival, I find that children are the most honest critics you can have. Their reaction to seeing their own face exaggerated with a bit of humor is what keeps me going. ### How I Work with Kids I know that kids have a short attention span. To handle this, I use a high-energy approach. I talk to them while I sketch, asking about their favorite cartoons, what they want to be when they grow up, or just cracking jokes to keep them engaged. By the time I put the marker down, they are usually laughing and excited to show their parents the result. ### Why Live Caricatures for Kids? * **Interactive Fun:** It is not just about the final portrait. The process of watching the lines form on paper is an activity in itself. * **Instant Keepsake:** Every child leaves with their own original piece of art. It is a party favor that parents won't just throw away after the event. * **Personalized Memories:** Unlike generic party bags, these drawings are personal and unique to every child who sits in my chair. If you are planning an event in Mumbai, I can set up my station in a corner, and I promise it will become the busiest spot in the room. Just make sure to have a chair ready, and I will bring the markers and the fun. If you are not holding a live event, I can also work from photos you send me to create custom digital or hand-drawn portraits. ## About Denzil Hi, I am Denzil. I run India's first caricature studio right here in Malad, and there is nothing I love more than the unfiltered, honest reactions kids give when they see themselves drawn.
