I look at your natural growth patterns and facial structure to decide where the weight needs to come off. Whether you want to add bounce to fine hair or remove bulk from thick hair, I use point-cutting and slicing techniques to ensure your cut grows out beautifully without becoming shapeless or stringy. ### Why Layers Change the Game Many people come in thinking layers automatically mean shorter hair, but it's really about balance. If you have fine hair, strategic layering creates an illusion of density and volume. If you have thick hair, it's about removing internal weight so you don't feel like you're carrying a heavy curtain around. ### My Process at Looks Privé When you visit me at The Claridges, we start with a proper talk. I need to know your lifestyle. Are you someone who blow-dries every morning, or do you air-dry and run? I tailor the cut to that. We use precision tools—Japanese steel shears for clean lines and texturizing shears for that soft, lived-in texture that doesn't look like a blunt shelf. ### Common Questions * **Will my hair look frizzy?** Not if the layers are cut correctly. I use moisture-focused techniques to ensure the ends stay healthy. * **How often do I need a trim?** For layers, every 8 to 10 weeks is the sweet spot to keep that shape from dropping. * **Does this work for curls?** Absolutely.
