When the light hits the magnetic particles, it creates a shifting, 3D depth that standard polish cannot match. Whether you want a soft, pearlescent 'velvet' effect or a sharp, galactic line, I carefully manipulate the magnetic wand to give you that specific, mesmerizing shimmer. ### Why magnetic nails are a favorite This style, often called 'cat-eye' polish, contains tiny iron particles. When I use a magnetic wand over wet gel polish, those particles react to the magnet, pulling them into patterns that create a 3D effect. It is a subtle but high-impact look that adds instant dimension to your nails. ### Styles to choose from * **Velvet Nails:** If you prefer a soft, diffused shimmer, this is the way to go. It looks like crushed velvet fabric on your nails, perfect for an elegant, understated style. * **Galaxy/Cosmic:** This uses darker base colors like deep blue, charcoal, or emerald with a bright magnetic line, creating a high-contrast, space-like effect. * **Chrome Hybrid:** I often finish cat-eye nails with a chrome edge or French tip for extra definition. ### A note on durability Like all my gel extension work, these magnetic designs are cured under a UV/LED lamp. This ensures the polish is rock solid. I recommend coming in for a refill every 4 to 6 weeks to keep the growth area clean and your nails strong.
