Whether we are jamming for a film score or recording a solo piece, I ensure the raw WAV stems capture the natural resonance of the wood and skin, rather than just the rhythm. Riyaz is the engine room of my music. It is where I deconstruct complex compositions and find new ways to express rhythm through my palms. I often invite fellow musicians for a jugalbandi because the best music happens when we react to each other in real-time. My process involves deep listening. I do not believe in playing just for the sake of it. Every beat needs to serve the raag or the composition. When we work together in the studio, you get the benefit of that discipline. I bring my professional-grade tabla sets, tuned precisely to your track's root key. I am comfortable with both fixed-tempo tracks for film scores and free-flowing improvisations for independent albums. If you are looking for that authentic, earthy, and resonant sound, let's connect.
