My sparring sessions use mandatory kid-sized headguards and constant supervision. If I see a student getting reckless or losing their guard, the drill stops immediately. We prioritize technique and spacing over raw power, ensuring that every 'Yoddha' learns to respect their training partner while building the confidence to stand their ground. ### Why Sparring Matters Sparring is the ultimate test. You can hit a heavy bag for hours, but it does not hit back. In our sparring sessions, kids learn timing, distance, and how to stay calm when someone is trying to tag them. It builds a kind of grit that you cannot teach on a treadmill. ### Safety First, Always We do not throw kids into the deep end. Every student wears specialized gear—gloves, headguards, and shin pads sized perfectly for them. Our training floors are covered in 1-inch thick EVA puzzle mats to prevent injury from falls or takedowns. My eyes are on the ring from the first bell to the last. If a student is not ready for live sparring, they stay on drills. There is no ego here, only learning. ### The Delhi Combat Approach Whether you visit our academy in Sector 14, Rohini, or our Model Town setup, the vibe is the same. We mix technical instruction with conditioning. Kids learn fluid striking combinations and BJJ ground control basics, then immediately apply them in a controlled environment. We keep the groups small so every child gets the attention they need to progress. ### What To Expect * **Technique Arc:** We move from basic movement to advanced combinations like Tornado Kicks over a 12-week progression. * **Conditioning:** Sparring is exhausting. We integrate HIIT and functional strength to ensure they have the gas tank to keep moving. * **Community:** They are not fighting against each other; they are training together. The focus is on mutual improvement, not domination. If you want your child to learn discipline, self-control, and the spirit of a warrior, bring them in for a trial.
